As my time here in Thailand draws to a close, the topics of my posts are going to shift away from Thailand. I will keep blogging, and you should expect some travel writing over the next couple months!
However, if you are in need of a Thailand fix, never fear! I bring to you some fellow Peace Corps volunteers who will be staying in Thailand after I leave and whose blogs I think are pretty exceptional. Check ’em out and click “Follow.”
Matt Fontana
Matt is a Youth in Development volunteer way down south in Phatthalung. He makes some excellent observations of Thailand and connects it to his life in a really meaningful way. Reading his blog, you feel like you are in a conversation with a good friend. Plus, his mug in any picture is sure to make you try to smile as big as he can.

Colin Johnson
Colin is a volunteer in the same group as me, but he’ll be sticking around in Thailand for a bit. However, he’ll be moving from rural southern Thailand, in a community that he has likened to the Compton of Thailand, to Bangkok. His girlfriend is a smart, pretty rad and extremely international Thai lady, giving him access to some Thai culture that I probably never would get. His writing borders onthe surreal and absurd, but never fails to make me laugh.

Ashley Dezen
Ashley is one of my closest friends from group 126. She’s in Phichit, a small province in central Thailand that even Thai people forget exists, but she is extremely proud of her province and has set out to visit and document the various tourist attractions that Phichit boasts. She also knows some really great people that you can be introduced to just by reading her blog.

Lydia Kilian
Lydia is one of the new TYT committee members and lives in the south, in the province of Chumpon. She is lucky enough to have people a her site teaching her how to cook Thai food. So if you liked my posts about Thai food, you can find a lot more recipes over there.

Ty Miranda
Ty is one of the newbies here in Thailand and has been great about keeping her Tumblr updated throughout pre-service training. She’s been making some really neat, short observations about Thailand and Thai culture as she integrates and adapts and I hope that she’ll keep up with the small quips as she continues her service.

Rich Ambuske
I love Rich’s writing style. It’s so literary and he is especially good at telling those small vignettes that tell so much about a day, a feeling, a larger event. I can definitely see his blog being collected into a set of short stories one day.
